MyNoshBook is operated by Cavendish Holdings. We provide a recipe management platform available at mynoshbook.com and through our mobile applications. When we say "we," "us," or "our," we mean Cavendish Holdings.

2. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and password (hashed). If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email, and profile picture from Google.

Recipe Data

We store the recipes you create, import, or save, including titles, ingredients, instructions, images, nutritional data, and any tags or notes you add. When you import a recipe from a URL or video, we process the source content to extract recipe details.

Usage Data

We collect basic usage information such as pages visited, features used, and device type to improve our service. We do not use third-party analytics trackers.

Payment Information

If you subscribe to a paid plan, payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your full credit card number. We receive confirmation of your subscription status and billing period from Stripe.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To provide, maintain, and improve our recipe management service
• To process recipe imports from websites, photos, text, and videos
• To generate nutritional estimates using AI
• To generate recipe images using AI when no image is available
• To manage your subscription and process payments
• To send transactional emails (verification, password reset)
• To enable social features like sharing recipes with friends
• To respond to support requests

4. AI Processing

We use artificial intelligence to power several features of MyNoshBook:

• Recipe extraction — When you import a recipe from a URL, photo, text, or video, we send the content to Anthropic's Claude AI to extract structured recipe data (title, ingredients, instructions, and nutritional estimates).
• Image generation — When a recipe does not have an image, we may use Google's Gemini AI to generate a representative image of the dish.
• Video transcripts — For video recipe imports, we use Supadata to extract transcripts, which are then processed by AI.

Content sent to AI services is used solely to provide the requested feature. We do not use your recipes to train AI models.

5. Third-Party Services

We rely on the following third-party services to operate MyNoshBook:

• Microsoft Azure — Cloud hosting, database, and image storage
• Google — OAuth authentication and Gemini AI image generation
• Anthropic — Claude AI for recipe extraction and analysis
• Stripe — Payment processing for subscriptions
• Resend — Transactional email delivery
• Supadata — Video transcript extraction

Each service processes only the minimum data necessary to provide its function. Please refer to each provider's privacy policy for details on their data handling practices.

6. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on Microsoft Azure infrastructure. Passwords are hashed using industry-standard algorithms. Recipe images are stored in Azure Blob Storage. We use HTTPS for all data transmission and follow security best practices for authentication and session management.

7. Cookies

We use essential cookies to maintain your authentication session and store your preferences (such as theme selection). We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. For full details, see our Cookie Policy.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate data in your account settings
• Delete your account and all associated data
• Export your recipe data
• Withdraw consent for optional data processing

9. Data Retention

We retain your account data and recipes for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data within 30 days. Some data may be retained longer where required by law or for legitimate business purposes (such as fraud prevention).

10. Children's Privacy

MyNoshBook is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes via email or an in-app notification. The "last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when the policy was last revised.
